While application of the Estill Model to singing and singing teaching is well established, there is still confusion among many voice teachers as to how the Model is either relevant or beneficial to the teaching and training of actors. The Estill Model provides direct solutions to many of the issues that are unique to the speaking voice and the craft of acting, both students and professionals. As many voice teachers find themselves working in different genres and media, including theatre and film, the Estill Model gives immediate, practical solutions to moving from one genre to another. This day will offer practical exercises, explanations and support in working with students and professionals in stage, film and theatre. We will also address the singers’ speaking voice, which is often neglected in training and yet which has a crucial impact on singers’ technique.

Anne-Marie has pioneered the use of the Estill Model in the teaching of the actor's voice in the UK and has innovated many exercises in the application of the Model to the spoken voice.

Suitable for: Those new to the Model, anyone who working with the voice; singing teachers, professional singers, students and amateurs; voice, speech & drama teachers; actors.
